Programmed and introduced by noted animation historian Jerry Beck and ASIFA-Hollywood executive director Frank Gladstone, this screening features the best and most notable theatrical shorts from Hollywood's legendary golden age. Films scheduled include Tex Avery's Drag A-Long Droopy, Chuck Jones' The Scarlet Pumpernickle, Disney's Lonesome Ghosts, and Bugs Bunny versus Pirate Sam in Friz Freleng's Buccaneer Bunny. Fleischer Studios' surreal Bimbo's Initiation, as well as Hanna Barbera's Tom and Jerry masterpiece The Truce Hurts are also planned as part of the program.
