The bankruptcy and liquidation of "the world's biggest toy store" Toys 'R' Us last year sent shockwaves through the toy industry. Many toy lines and smaller toy companies are left without a brick and mortar store presence. Some companies have folded, some licenses have switched hands, and the industry is very much in a transition period. Is there a retailer that could rise to take the place of the fallen retail giant? Where does this upheaval leave the average collector? Now Toys 'R' Us has re-formed under a new name and is exploring new possibilities. What will that mean for the industry? Moderator Daniel Pickett (ActionFigureInsider.com) will take the temperature of the toy and collectibles industry along with insider panelists Justin Donaldson (collector/co-creator of "The Tournament of Nerds"), Jesse Falcon (director of merchandising at Marvel Entertainment), Jason Labowitz (president and co-founder at Entertainment Earth, Inc.), Jeremy Padawer (co-president/partner, Wicked Cool Toys), and David Vonner (Boys Design Mattel). Together they will find the light in the darkness, just like your favorite heroes.
